Open Connections win deal to supply ECM to Aardman Animation

We are pleased to be able to announce that Open Connections and OCF have been selected to provide a complete digital archive solution based on FileNet P8 Content Manager to Aardman Animation for the storage and safe archiving of Aardman’s many digital assets. The system is split over two of Aardman’s Bristol sites and replication software and hardware provides both good performance and a safe and secure facility. The IBM FileNet P8 software is used to categorise and index these objects for on-demand retrieval. Howard Arnault-Ham, Head of IT for Aardman comments “We have been looking for a digital vault solution to keep control over the increasing amount of digital information that the company is producing. The combination of the P8 product, Open Connections implementation expertise and OCF’s ability to architect us a complete hardware solution met our requirements for this forward looking project perfectly. Tom Vincent, Archivist for Aardman, will use the system to manage the digital archive. Tom comments “The wide variety of Aardman’s digital assets needs to be archived effectively.
