The latest release of IBM’s capture software is now available
IBM’s Datacap provides the document capture capability in their Cloud Pak® for Business Automation. The latest release of Datacap (IBM Datacap Version 9.1.9) was recently announced, bringing improved business and operational benefits to individual users and organisations alike. We believe that this is an exciting release for existing Datacap customers and we outline some of its benefits below.
Datacap Health Monitoring
• Organisations which make use Datacap will appreciate improved insights made possible by the surfacing of information on all Datacap components and in-flight batches.
• Health Monitor can generate alerts whenever any discrepancy is observed.
Improved Integration with Microsoft Exchange Online
Microsoft have announced that they are going to retire the use of Basic Authentication for Exchange Web Services (EWS) in Office 365. They have invested heavily in Microsoft Graph and Modern Authentication, which provides superior security and integration with Microsoft cloud services such as Exchange Online.
With this release of Datacap, the Office 365 Exchange integration now supports Microsoft Graph API and Datacap customers with applications that connect to Exchange Online will need to update to use the new Modern Authentication.
Improved Logging
These improvements to log collection and analysis tools make looking after and maintaining a Datacap environment easier than ever, by providing the:
• Ability to analyse Datacap RRS, TMS and wTM logs and generate reports in tabular form.
• Ability to analyse any type of log file and surface different issues.
These are just some of the enhancements which have been made available in IBM Datacap Version 9.1.9. If you would like to know more, please contact technical@openc.co.uk or call us on 01454 889966.
