A Leader in Intelligent Document Processing Solutions
Tungsten Automation (TA) was recently recognised as a Leader in the Gartner® Intelligent Document Processing Solutions Magic Quadrant™. This will not be a surprise to many of you. We are aware that TA products (Capture, Transformation Modules, VRS) have been the mainstay of customers’ document-driven business processes for several years. However, TA has reinvented itself and is investing heavily in new AI-powered platforms which are better suited to the demands of contemporary process automation than their predecessors. TA’s continued investment means that these platforms will continue to excel at what they do.
The Latest Platforms
Many of you are already aware of the new platforms, but our recent analysis revealed that relatively few really understand the leap forward that they represent and how your business processes could be revolutionised. Here is a summary of the key differentiating aspects of the next-generation platforms:
- TotalAgility 2025.2 – enhanced no-code UX, Knowledge Discovery, and AI-powered document intelligence.
- InvoiceAgility 2025.3 – advanced OCR, XML handling, and expanded compliance features.
- Power PDF 2025.3 – GenAI Copilot capabilities, ARM support, and new eSignature options.
Capture/Transformation
To be clear, Capture and Transformation Modules are not going away – they will continue to receive bug fixes and updates for some years to come. However, most new features—particularly those involving AI—are being developed for the next-generation platforms.
